Question 1

Why is Ticket Africa better than Quicket, Webtickets, Howler, or Computicket for event organizers?

Accepted Answer

Ticket Africa guarantees organizers retain 100% of their ticket face value by charging 0% organizer commission and R0 setup cost. By contrast, Quicket takes ~4.9% (plus a R7.50 buyer fee), Webtickets takes ~3.9% to 5.0%, Howler takes ~7.5% to 8.0% total, and Computicket demands 5% to 7% on rigid corporate contracts. Additionally, Ticket Africa offers ultra-fast 10-hour payouts and native marketing suites (SEO, Email campaigns, and Blog publishing) that competitors do not offer natively.

Question 2

How does Ticket Africa's 10-hour payout window work compared to other platforms?

Accepted Answer

While legacy platforms like Computicket, Ticketpro, Webtickets, and Howler hold your money until after the event concludes (and Quicket takes up to 3 business days post-event), Ticket Africa deploys funds after a strict 10-hour waiting period. This 10-hour buffer acts as a necessary security check for customer payment integrity, after which funds are released immediately so organizers can finance venue deposits, talent, and marketing before event day.

Question 3

What fees do ticket buyers pay on Ticket Africa?

Accepted Answer

We charge an industry-lowest platform service fee of just 2.6% + R4 per ticket sold, added transparently at checkout. For example, on a R100 ticket, the buyer pays R106.60, and the event organizer receives the full R100.00.

Question 4

What unique marketing features does Ticket Africa provide for event promoters?

Accepted Answer

Ticket Africa operates as a complete event growth engine. We provide built-in Event SEO optimization, a native email marketing suite, 1-click Add to User Calendar integration, customizable brand pages, and an exclusive Write a Blog About Your Event tool that helps promoters rank natively on Google search results.

Question 5

How do I buy tickets on Ticket Africa?

Accepted Answer

Browse upcoming events on our homepage or search by category. Select your desired event, choose the ticket type and quantity, click Buy Tickets, enter your attendee details, and complete payment securely via Paystack using Credit/Debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Bank Transfer, Instant EFT, or Mobile Money (M-Pesa, MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money). You will receive your digital ticket with a QR code instantly via email.

Question 6

How do gate entry and ticket scanning work on the day of the event?

Accepted Answer

Organizers download the free Ticket Africa mobile scanner app, log in, and scan attendee QR codes at the gate. The system validates tickets in real time, preventing duplicate entry and fraud. Organizers can assign unlimited gate scanning staff members simultaneously for free.

Question 7

What is the refund policy if an event is cancelled or postponed?

Accepted Answer

If an event is cancelled by the organizer, Ticket Africa collaborates directly with the organizer and Paystack to process ticket refunds in accordance with event terms and consumer protection regulations. If an event is postponed, tickets generally remain valid for the rescheduled date.
